A RUISLIP laboratory assistant and her two young daughters are dead from a suspected gas poisoning at their home.
The body of Heena Solanki, 34, was found with those of her daughters Jasmine, 9, and Prisha, 4, by husband Kalpesh, 42, when he returned home on Friday evening.
Neighbours had noticed a chemical smell coming from the house in Midcroft and police attending the scene were seen wearing gas masks.
Neighbour Don Berry, 76, told reporters: “Police told us to shut the windows as there might have been a toxic substance. We didn’t know what to think. We had no idea what was going on and no one would tell us.”
Police say they are treating the deaths as unexplained.
The girls’ paternal grandparents lived with the family, but they were away on holiday at the time.
