COSTCO is to open a wholesale warehouse on the site of the Western International Market in Hayes.
Kier Property forward-funded the £41m development, and work on the 140,000sq ft warehouse is due to be completed in the summer, creating around 160 new jobs.
Kier development manager Jonathan Lee said: “We are delighted that Costco selected our site in Hayes for its first West London membership warehouse.
“We have spent many years developing, working with the local community and retailers and selecting key partners to work with us on this site.”
WIM will also be developed, with Virtus, who are in the process of building a data centre, and Kier Property, who work under the industrial brand Trade City, making renovations to the new site.
