GOLFER Terry Smith donated a cheque to the Paediatric Trust Fund at Hillingdon Hospital, where his grandson was treated for bronchiolitis as a baby.
Terry was the seniors captain at Oakland Park Golf Club in Chalfont St Giles.
During his year’s captaincy, he raised £3,808.38 through raffles, club auctions and donations.
He said: “The staff on Peter Pan Ward were supportive and caring during my grandson’s stay in hospital, so this charity was my first choice.”
Peter Pan matron Chris Mann said “A big thank you to everyone who has taken part in any of the activities that led to the fund-raising and for the support of other companies who have donated.”
Firms who contributed include Sainsbury’s in Uxbridge and Tesco in Cowley.
The money will go towards equipment, such as oxygen saturation monitors or a pressurised oxygen supply system.
