AN Uxbridge man will be running the London Marathon to raise money for Starlight Children’s Foundation.
Ian Mitchell, 47, is hoping to help the charity in its mission to grant the wishes of seriously and terminally ill children.
There are currently 22 seriously ill children in Middlesex waiting to have their once-in-a-lifetime dream come true.
Mr Mitchell, an analyst for City stockbrokers Arden Partners, says the poor weather at the start of the year made the challenge of training for the event even harder.
The marathon is on Sunday April 14 and 92p of every pound he raises will go directly to Starlight.
