MORE than 300 Hillingdon Brownies and their leaders celebrated the organisation’s 100th birthday by taking part in a ‘Stay Away’ event at the Civic Centre.
The Brownies, from units across the borough, took part in junk percussion workshops, cheer leading, flower pot painting and craft activities during three sleepovers hosted by the council in March.
The mayor and mayoress joined them at breakfast the following morning, when they presented achievement certificates and badges to all those who took part.
