Appeal for witnesses after victim airlifted to hospital

Police were called at around 2:50pm after reports of two cars and a pedestrian involved in the accident at the zebra crossing near the junction with Avondale Drive.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, was taken to an East London hospital by London's Air Ambulance. Her condition is described as serious but stable.

Both drivers, a man and a woman, stopped at the scene.
