THE MET police has spoken about the week of planned protests next week against climate change.

There will be around 1,800 officers at the event and all police will be visible with uniform on.
Commander Kaye, said: "It is getting the message out to people who are legitimately demonstrating that we are there. That is what our policing is all about.
"They are a group of people with different views on what is happening. We want them to come forward so we can discuss the protest and keep it as safe as possible.
He added: "This is not new to us, there are more than four thousand events a year in the city and we have some background from the Climate Camp which was held at Drax power station in North Yorkshire in 2006, so we all well prepared."
The Camp which is set to be for around 1,500 people has not been set up but is to be somewhere in the vicintiy of Heathrow, from Tuesday, August 14, to Tuesday, August 21, the exact location is still unknown.
