A RADIOGRAPHER who has worked at a Northwood hospital for more than two decades was recently treated to afternoon tea with Queen.
Pat Fernie has worked at the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre at Mount Vernon Hospital since it opened 22 years ago.
Since then the centre has developed a world class reputation and is now at the forefront of scanning technology, saving lives through the early diagnosis of cancer.
Pat's name was put forward for the royal garden party by local Patron of the Centre, Wing Commander EH Partridge OBE AE DL, Representative Deputy Leader for the Borough of Hillingdon.
Pat, who is superintendent radiographer at the centre, and her husband Peter got the chance meet the Queen and Prince Phillip, and Prince Charles and Camilla at the Buckingham Palace soiree.
