RESIDENTS affected by the proposed third runway at Heathrow joined climate change activists in a celebration of thier homes and local history.
Peope of Harmondworth and Sipson who are threatened by the expansion of the airport gathered on Saturday, August 11 and Sunday, August 12, to share stories of their time in the area.
A major part of the weekend was to symbolise what the community stands to lose if plans for the new runway go ahead.
One resident, Mrs Francis, once postmaster with her husband in Sipson, brought a whole selection of old photographs of her home village, which could be entirely destroyed.
