AROUND 2,000 protesters and 1,800 police officers will descend on the tiny village of Sipson today.
The day of direct action for Climate Camp is expected to kick-off at midday with men, women, and children marching the route of a proposed third runway.
Alannah Currie, from Climate Camp, said: "The day of mass action will highlight the appalling impacts of the third runway and lay the blame at the feet of BAA."
Schoolchildren and residents are expected to walk the route and mark out the land showing homes and schools that would be swallowed up by the third runway.
The group will then march on to BAA headquarters in Hayes, and have promised to 'lay siege' at the building overnight.
BAA said: "With the current terrorism threat, keeping Heathrow safe and secure is a very serious business. Any action taken by the protesters that distracts us or the police from this task is irresponsible and unlawful."
Updates will follow on this website throughout the day.
