EIGHT protesters have blockaded a freight depot near Heathrow.
An independent group from the Camp for Climate Action have locked themselves together at the British Airways' World Cargo Depot at Hatton Cross, outside Heathrow Airport.
The protesters blockaded vehicle access by locking themselves together in a ring with arm tubes'.
The group claims that importing fruit and vegetables from developing countries encourages unsustainable farming practices.
Anna Kay, one of the blockaders said, "We in the UK need to move to eating locally produced and organic food instead of supporting this energy intensive and environmentally destructive industry."
Meanwhile, Camp for Climate Action activists are still staging a 'sit in' at BAA headquarters off Bath Road at Heathrow.
The protest remains peaceful at this time, with police outnumbering the activists.
