AN Uxbridge teenager died on Friday after a car crash as he went to collect his A-level results.
Glen Edwards, who lived in Willowtree Close, Ickenham, was the passenger in a white Vauxhall Corsa that was moving southbound along the A12, near Chelmsford, Essex. The Corsa pulled up behind two other cars stuck in traffic, when a fourth collided with them shortly before 8.30am on Thursday.
The Corsa driver, an 18-year-old male from Bushey, escaped with minor facial and chest injuries, but Glen was airlifted to Queens Hospital in Romford, where he died the next day from head injuries.
The three other cars involved in the incident were a silver Audi A3, a silver Jaguar X-Type and a red Skoda Felicia. None of the other motorists were injured.
Glen was a pupil at Bushey Hall School and Westfield School.
