A BURST water main in south Ruislip caused chaos for drivers and passers by on Wednesday morning.
The four inch pipe burst and flooded most of the area underneath South Ruislip railway bridge in Station Road, making it almost impossible for people to walk on the pavement.
Rush-hour commuters struggled through the flooded road for most of the morning, and the water was around one foot deep when Three Valleys water were called to the incident at 5.30am. Temporary traffic lights were put up to try and control the traffic, and Thames Water went out to fix the leak
