SAFETY checks on child car seats are to be carried out for free after Hillingdon Council teamed up with Halfords to provide the service.
Experts will be on hand outside Halfords, in Hayes Bridge Retail Park, to check seats on Monday, September 24, and Tuesday, September 25, from 10am to 4pm.
Councillor Keith Burrows, cabinet member for planning and transportation, said: "As a parent, child safety is of paramount importance.
"I would encourage anyone who uses a child car seat and has worries about its fitting, to make use of these free checks.
"It doesn't take long and a correctly fitted seat could save your child's life or prevent serious injury if you are involved in an accident."
