A hotel could be converted into a children's nursery.
An application has been submitted to turn the 11-bed Grove End Hotel in Bushey Hall Road, Bushey, into a private nursery for 108 children.
The nursery would be operated by N Family Club, a company founded in 2017, and has since gone on to open six nurseries across London.
The site eyed up by N Family Club has been running as a hotel for more than 50 years and is situated by a roundabout where Bushey Hall Road, Aldenham Road, The Avenue, and Bushey Hall Drive meet.
Planning documents submitted to Hertsmere Borough Council seek to change the use of the building, under permitted development rights.
However, a separate full planning application has been submitted for a proposed single-storey extension to the current two-storey building and roof conversion.
The proposed nursery would cater for up to 108 children and 29 staff and would operate from 7am until 7pm every weekday.
The current hotel car park would be reconfigured to accommodate eight parking spaces. The applicants have submitted several planning documents alongside their application for prior approval, including a transport statement.
The application to change the use of the hotel into a nursery can be found on the council's planning portal.
