THE new Bishop of Willesden, whose episcopal area covers Ealing, Hillingdon and Brent, has been consecrated at a service at St Paul’s Cathedral, led by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
The Rt Rev Lusa Nsenga-Ngoy was introduced as the next Bishop in November during a visit to Twyford C of E School, Acton. He succeeds the Rt Revd Pete Broadbent, who served for 20 years.
Bishop Lusa was ordained in 2008 and served as an assistant curate in the Diocese of Canterbury, before becoming Vicar of St Aidan, Gravesend in 2012.
In 2017 he was appointed BAME Mission and Ministry Enabler in the Diocese of Leicester.
Bishop Lusa Nsenga-Ngoy said: “It was good to meet so many of the people alongside whom I’ll be serving. I’m grateful for the many warm messages received.”
