THREE charities in the Uxbridge area have received a donation from Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, which is based in the town.
Colne Valley Regional Park, Trinity homelessness charity and Age UK Hillingdon have all received a boost of £2,000 upwards from CCEP’s Community Fund.
Now in its third year, the fund enables each of CCEP’s sites in this country to donate £10,000 towards local causes.
In Uxbridge, CCEP has long-standing relationships with charities such as Colne Valley, which has received £5,000 this year.
It brings the total amount it has donated to the park to £25,000 since 2019.
Cole Valley is using this year’s donation, alongside the support of 50 CCEP volunteers, for the upkeep of woodland areas, to preserve historic nature reserves and to protect wildlife habitats.
John Whitby, chairman of the Colne Valley Park Trust, said: “We want the park to remain a beautiful place for people to visit, and this can only be done through donations like this.”
Age UK Hillingdon is using the donation to buy mobile phones and laptops so that more volunteers can keep in regular contact with vulnerable members of the community.
