Brentford manager Thomas Frank accepted that Leicester City were the better team in the first half of his side's 2-1 loss at the King Power Stadium.
Timothy Castagne scored a beauty from distance that curved its way into the top corner to put the Bees a goal behind after 20 minutes.
And less than 15 minutes later, James Maddison tucked a 25-yard free-kick into the top corner, much to the delight of the Leicester supporters.
Brentford pulled one back late on as Bryan Mbeumo found Yoane Wissa, who drove a long-range shot of his own in from 20 yards but it was not enough to turn things around.
Frank said: "I think Leicester were the better side in the first half. I think we didn't play with enough edge and aggression under pressure.
"Also, we changed a little bit at half-time, which helped. I also think we could have done more and moved the ball quicker.
"That said, we limited Leicester to, in my opinion, zero chances.
"We played Leicester two times, and three of their goals were top-corner worldies."
The result means Brentford are still in a relegation dogfight.
The Bees currently sit 15th, eight points above Watford in 18th but ten points from the fabled 40 that traditionally guarantees safety.
Three wins from four games has seen Leicester City rise up to tenth in the table.
Frank admitted that while he expected stunners from the likes of Maddison, he didn't expect them from 26-year-old left-back Castagne.
He added:"Second half, I think we were the better side. We were very aggressive, kept the ball well and created chances.
"If we got our goal a bit earlier then maybe we would have had a better chance to get a point. Over the two halves, that would maybe have been a fair result."
