UXBRIDGE College students working towards careers in construction or science are benefiting from work experience on the HS2 high speed rail link.
The placements, with SCS JV, who are delivering the Northolt to London Euston section, enable young people to spend 315 hours, equivalent to 45 days, working on the project.
Ambrose Quashie, HS2’s Skills Manager for London, said: “I hope the students will feel inspired to progress into roles on HS2 when they finish their studies.”
College principal Darrell DeSouza added: “This is without doubt a unique learning experience for any young person on a technical programme.”
