Blaze scene: the foundry in Horton Close
FOUR fire engines and around 25 crew were called to a blaze at a foundry with offices above in Horton Close, Yiewsley, last night (29).
Part of the ground floor was damaged, but there were no reports of any injuries.
The fire was discovered by an worker from a neighbouring commercial unit who smelled smoke and went outside to investigate. Smoke was seen coming from the side windows.
The brigade was called at 10.31pm and the fire was under control by 11.51. Crews from Hayes, Hillingdon, Heathrow and Feltham attended.
The cause is being investigated.
