WITH the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham on the horizon, England Squash has launched Squash Stars, to attract youngsters to the game.
The six-week programme, delivered by Hillingdon Squash Club and others from June, will introduce children aged 5-11 to the game.
England squash player James Willstrop said: “Sport has the power to improve lives, from all ages, and it’s really important to get involved as early as you can.
“As elite athletes, we have a role to play in helping to highlight the many benefits sport has to offer, including both physical and mental wellbeing.
Squash Stars youngsters will receive six group coaching sessions, a free racket, ball, bag and goggles.
Parents can enrol their child on to the programme via www.squashstars.co.uk
