DOGS Trust at Harefield is offering free workshops this half-term to help families understand dogs and learn how to live happily with them.

The charity, which finds new homes for thousands of dogs every year, is offering the ‘How to stay safe’ workshops to children aged seven and over.

The 90-minute events will be held at Micklefield Library in High Wycombe and Dogs Trust West London in Harvil Road, Harefield, and must be booked in advance.

Dogs Trust education officer Rosie Allen explained: “Using games and lots of activities, we explore everything from what dogs need to feel safe and comfortable, to how we can understand their body language and what influences how a dog feels and therefore behaves.”

The workshops will take place at 2pm on Tuesday, May 31 in High Wycombe and at 11am on Wednesday, June 1 at Dogs Trust in Harefield. No dogs will be present and children must be accompanied by an adult.
