THE National Youth Theatre, which auditions thousands of aspiring young actors every year, has accepted four students from Northwood College for Girls.
To secure their places, Ammara, Annabel, Mansi and Rihanna, from Years 10–13, took part in a three-hour workshop, an individual monologue, direction and a final interview.
NWC head of drama Celeste McCoy said: “We would have been pleased with one success, let alone four in one year! All four have demonstrated real commitment to the dramatic arts during their time [here].”
The NYT programme begins in the summer holidays, when the students will undergo two weeks of training.
They will then have the opportunity to audition in London for productions each year up to the age of 26.
NWC head Rebecca Brown said: “I know all four will thrive as members of the NYT and I look forward to hearing about their experience.”
