PEOPLE in Parkfield Crescent, Eastcote, defied the weather to hold their Jubilee street party.
Showing true community spirit, they mowed the grass on the island to make it presentable, just hours before the event.
Neighbours put up decorations and set up for the party before clearing away at the end of festivities.
“I felt so proud to have such lovely neighbours who have come together as a team,” said Jaymini Solanki, one of the organisers. “And the cakes, they were a real “bake off”.
Some people, including Martin and Gill Richiardi, Matthew Andrews and Jean Phillips, could remember the Silver Jubilee party in 1977.
