TO coincide with the summer holidays, leisure centres in Hillingdon are offering under-16s the chance to swim for £1 per session.
The Kids for a Quid initiative will enable youngsters to swim for the reduced rate from 8-10am Monday to Friday at Botwell Leisure Centre, Hayes, and 9-10am on Thursday and Friday at Highgrove Pool and Fitness Centre, Ruislip.
The initiative will then move to weekend sessions after the start of the autumn school term.
Keely Shelton, Partnership Manager for Better leisure centres in Hillingdon, said: “We hope [it] will provide a low-cost, enjoyable activity that everyone can afford.”
Tuition for every level of swimmer from complete beginner to the more experienced is also available through Better’s Swim School.
Lessons and courses are open to all ages and take place both during term-time and school holidays.
