FIRE crews quickly tackled a blaze in Weymouth Road, Hayes, on Sunday afternoon (14).
A garage at the rear of a semi-detached house was destroyed and a man was taken to hospital, while a woman was treated at the scene.
Firefighters cooled and removed two cylinders as they can explode when exposed to heat.
The brigade was called at 1.21 and the fire was under control in an hour. Four engines and around 25 crew from Southall, Hillingdon, Northolt and Hayes attended.
The fire is believed to have been accidental and caused by an electrical fault.
