SIX fire engines and around 40 crew tackled a blaze at a factory in Rockingham Road, Uxbridge, in the early hours of this morning (17).
An outbuilding was destroyed and part of an adjoining workshop damaged. Part of the garden, fascia and guttering of an end-of-terrace house was also damaged.
A woman was treated for the effects of smoke by an ambulance crew.
A 32-metre turntable ladder was used as an observational tower.
The brigade was called at 3.49 and the fire was under control by 6.32. Crews from Hillingdon, Ruislip, Hayes, Southall and Heathrow attended.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
