A NEW guide, Walking in the Footsteps of an Edwardian, has been published by the Colne Valley Regional Park in the run-up to Christmas.
It has nine routes to explore, reflecting the landscape changes of the past 100 years.
A copy can be bought at the Colne Valley Visitor Centre for £6. You can also purchase it online by emailing us on enquiry@colnevalleypark.org.uk (postage cost is £2).
A gift to bring people closer to nature could be an annual subscription to the RSPB or the London Wildlife Trust and Herts and Middx Wildlife Trust.
An annual £60 parking pass for the Buckinghamshire Country Parks (Black Park, Langley Park, Thorney Country Park and Denham Country Park) is another way to encourage more days out.
If you want to bring your little ones to meet Santa at Denham Country Park, they will be greeted by his elf helpers, Book your timeslot now.
Among a range of Christmas themed activities, you can also receive a present and then sit down to have Lunch with Santa.
