MORE than 800 people received job offers through the Heathrow Employment and Skills Academy last year.
Campaign group Back Heathrow paid a visit to one of the academy’s Essential Skills workshops last week, to hear how people in Hillingdon and beyond can build a career at the airport.
Parmjit Dhanda, Executive Director of Back Heathrow, said: “After Covid, it's great to see new opportunities opening up at Heathrow again.
“All in all, it was another reminder of how important our airport is to our communities.”
The academy currently has more than 100 roles available through its website, including in hospitality, ground handling, retail, construction, passenger services and security.
