CHILDREN from Pinkwell Primary School, were invited to decorate a timeline at the new Hayes Village development on the site of the former Nestlé factory.
To celebrate renovation of the former Nestlé UK headquarters, youngsters were asked by housebuilder Barratt London to draw their favourite Nestlé-branded sweets.
This artwork has been used to pinpoint key dates on a timeline of the site’s history.
Starting from 1914, it marks the completion of Eugen Sandow’s Cocoa Factory and continues until 2018, the year Hayes Village was given the go-ahead by planners.
Janine Johnson, a Pinkwell teacher, said: “I think it’s wonderful that our pupils and their artwork are now a part of Hayes Village history.
“The children are thrilled to be involved and loved seeing their art on display. The history of the development is something I am sure they will never forget.”
Due for completion in 2028, Hayes Village will provide 1,500 new homes and nine acres of previously unused green space.
Homes there start from £332,000 for a one-bedroom apartment.
