Wild weekend: community events get underway on Friday (Image: Mayor of London)
GROUPS across Hillingdon are celebrating being awarded £6,000 of National Lottery funding to host community-led activities.
It is part of London’s first Mayor’s Community Weekend from June 23-25.
This is thanks to a partnership between the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, and The National Lottery Community Fund.
Events in Hillingdon include Growing Community Roots, hosted by Glebe Primary School, which was awarded £1,500 to bring the military community and other local groups together through nature-based activities.
