A MURDER inquiry is underway after a man was fatally stabbed in Hayes.
Police were called at 4.33am today (11) to reports of a man acting erratically with a knife at a home in Melina Close, near Angel Lane, Hayes End.
A man in his 50s was found inside with a stab wound to his neck. Despite efforts to save him, he died at the scene.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.
He was taken to hospital, where he will be assessed before being taken into custody.
The suspect and the victim were known to one another.
Det Insp Adam Guttridge said: “We are at the very early stages of our investigation and inquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances.”
