YEAR 13 students at UTC Heathrow in Northwood are celebrating after picking up their A Level and Level 3 qualification results, securing places on degree apprenticeships and at university.
The University Technical College (UTC), specialising in digital and engineering subjects, had an overall pass rate at A-level of 16% A*-B and 28% A*-C
In vocational and technical subjects, 17% of all grades were D*D*D*/DDD in BTEC L3 Extended Diploma in Engineering/IT; 25% of all grades were D*D*/DD in BTEC L3 Diploma in Engineering/IT; and 20% of all grades were D*/D in BTEC L3 Extended Certificate in Engineering/IT
Several students have landed apprenticeships and degree apprenticeships at firms including LMG, CBRE and Heathrow Airport.
Students have also gained places at universities including Kingston, Brunel, Queen Mary’s, City of Westminister, Leeds and Nottingham
Head of School Jas Kallah said: “The vast majority have secured their first-choice universities and apprenticeships.”
Notable achievements include: Touheed Ahmed Mian, Extended Diploma in Engineering = D*D*D*. Attending Queen Mary’s University to study Aerospace Engineering.
Danny Simons, Extended Diploma in Engineering = D*DD. Attending Leeds University in September for Studies in Science.
