STAFF at Metro Bank will volunteer at a charity event in Yiewsley this Saturday (30) as part of the firm’s Day To Amaze initiative.
The event – part of September’s Child Cancer Awareness month - will be at St Matthew’s Church Hall, with all funds being raised for the Danielle Logun Foundation.
It is a niche childhood cancer support charity, established in memory of Daniella Logun who died from a brain tumour in 2016, aged just 12.
The charity offers wellbeing support to children and young people diagnosed with brain tumours, other cancers and their families, living in Hillingdon and the surrounding area.
“As a community bank it’s great we are given time at work to support local charities and good causes,” said Mohammed Sadiq, Uxbridge Metro Bank store manager.
“We have made the foundation the charity of choice for our coin-counting Magic Money Machine in store.”
Uxbridge Metro Bank is located at The Pavilions shopping centre and is open Monday – Saturday: 8.30am - 6pm. Sunday: 11am - 5pm.
