PASTICHE Musical Theatre company, based in Hillingdon, return to the Compass Theatre, Ickenham, in October with the return of its annual concert, the first since 2019.
From the age of the golden musical up to the present day, Musical Mixtape has something for everyone.
It’s a high-energy show with songs from Oklahoma!, Rent, Next To Normal, Chicago and The Great British Bake Off: The Musical.
The last concert was four years ago, before a hiatus due to Covid-19.
Last year, Pastiche staged a special concert celebrating its 25th anniversary before returning to its usual format this year.
Pastiche’s first production was in January 1997 when Jean Hobson and Jean George decided to create a one-off production of Sandy Wilson’s The Boy Friend, performed at The Compass in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
It encouraged the company to stage another production, Salad Days, in 1998.
Ever since, it has staged a full musical and a concert each year with the proceeds from each donated to a charity elected by the cast.
Pastiche has raised £63,500 for over 30 different causes, including Hillingdon MIND, Hillingdon Hospital’s Peter Pan Ward, Little Hearts Matter, the Michael Sobell Hospice and Meadow High School.
Proceeds this time will be donated to Alzheimer’s UK. Tickets are on sale now:
