COLNE Valley Regional Park, one of the most pressurised parts of the Green Belt, has launched a campaign to protect its special landscape.
Supporters want to safeguard it for future generations and let it realise its full potential for people and wildlife.
The campaign, Your Countryside in Crisis – a call for action, has made good progress in reaching politicians and decision-makers in the month since it was launched.
It has already had discussions with the leaders of Slough and Spelthorne councils, been in contact with the leader’s office in Hillingdon and the chairman of Wraysbury and Horton parish councils.
It has also met senior figures in Michael Gove’s department, who have been invited to visit the Colne Valley, to discuss solutions in more detail.
In addition, there have been talks with the Hillingdon Cabinet member responsible for Environment and Planning.
