SUPPORTERS of Colne Valley Regional Park are raising money to support their Countryside in Crisis campaign.
Donations that are made via theBigGive.org.uk matching fund will be doubled until next Thursday (25).
Colne Valley is responding to growing development pressure from rail, road and Heathrow Airport by trying to ensure its landscapes, river networks and eco-systems are protected.
Colne Valley Park, stretching from Rickmansworth to Staines, was established in 1965.
That was when the potential to serve West London and neighbouring counties by providing an escape into the countryside was recognised.
With each passing year, the park has to fight harder than ever to preserve its fragile landscape.
