RESIDENTS, staff, family and friends at a Hillingdon care home marked its eighth birthday with a lively garden party.
Ryefield Court, part of the Berkley Care Group, celebrated on Friday (10) with a barbecue in the sun, a pop-up casino and a visit from the newly-elected Mayor of Hillingdon, Cllr Colleen Sullivan.
A highlight was the casino, organised by the events team. Residents enthusiastically took to the roulette and blackjack tables, where they gambled with chips provided by the dealers.
Cllr Sullivan joined staff for the presentation of a birthday cake and, accompanied by professional singer Caron Pascoe, joined in a rendition of Happy Birthday.
Madge Wang, Ryefield Court’s general manager, said: “Each year is a testament to the community we’ve built and the dedication of our team.
“Seeing our residents out in the garden, soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the fresh air, is truly heartwarming."
