DETECTIVES investigating after a man was stabbed during an attempted robbery in Hayes have released an e-fit of a man they want to identify.
The 20-year-old victim was walking along Judge Heath Lane with his friends at about 1.35am on Wednesday, April 8, when the attack took place.
An unknown man approached the group and demanded they empty their pockets. The man then ran at the group, tripped up the victim and stabbed him in the chest.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.
No belongings were taken during the attack.
Det Con Ella Turvill said: “This has had a significant impact on the victim both physically and mentally.
“We are working to urgently identify the man who carried out this attack and I hope the e-fit may jog someone’s memory.”
If you recognise the man or have information that, call police on 101 or post @MetCC and give reference CAD 518/08Apr. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
