PEOPLE in Hillingdon are invited to join the Mayor, Cllr Colleen Sullivan at her Picnic in the Park on Saturday, June 29, in Barra Hall Park, Hayes, from midday to 5pm.
The free event, organised by Hillingdon Council, promises an afternoon of live music on the bandstand plus a range of activities for people of all ages.
There will be performances by the Hillingdon Music Service brass, steel and junior bands, Queensmead School in Ruislip, Barnhill Community High School, Hayes, and from the Candy Girls.
There will also be sports, face painting, Punch and Judy shows, inflatables and arts and crafts for children.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic and something to sit on.
The borough’s family hubs, libraries, children’s centres and adult learning teams will also be supporting the picnic with activities and information stalls.
Cllr Sullivan said: “It will be a great opportunity for me to meet people and celebrate the wealth of local talent in one of our beautiful, award-winning Green Flag parks.”
