A STRETCH of the A40 Western Avenue, between Target Roundabout and Greenford Roundabout will be closed to traffic from late this Sunday (9) until the early hours of Monday.
A new Supergrid transformer is being delivered to Willesden Substation from Tilbury Docks, arriving on site on Sunday night.
National Grid have been working with councils and the police to ensure the transformer is delivered safely while minimising disruption.
Natasha Turner, Project Manager for National Grid said: “Communities rely on us to supply electricity without interruption so it’s important we keep our substations and the equipment in them working effectively.
“We’ve worked hard to try to minimise any disruption deliveries of this kind can cause. We appreciate the cooperation and understanding of the community."
