DOGS Trust Harefield is searching for new homes for its three biggest furry residents, whose combined weight is an impressive 134kg – more than a standard washing machine!

Larger dogs often get overlooked when it comes to rehoming, so Harefield are appealing for families who have the space, patience and love to give one of these not-so-pint-sized pooches.

Enzo is a big, lovable boy looking for a patient, understanding family to help him grow into his best self.

Weighing in at 40.4kg, he’s definitely larger than life in more ways than one. He has a goofy charm and loves carrying his squeaky toys around.

But beneath his playful exterior he’s a sensitive dog who needs time and patience. Enzo would thrive in a calm, adult-only home where positive-based training will help him manage his worries, especially around other dogs.

He needs to be the only dog in the home but could live with other small pets.

Zara, a stunning five-year-old Borzoi, is an elegant, gentle soul seeking a quiet, adult-only home where she can be the centre of attention.

Weighing an impressive 41.8kg, she gracefully demonstrates just how much of a gentle giant she is. Zara finds interactions with other dogs stressful, so being the only dog in the home suits her best.

She would be happiest in a home with a secure, private garden and a peaceful neighbourhood. She’s a calm and loving companion who craves attention.

Royce, the epitome of a gentle giant, is ready to find a family to shower him with love. Though he is large at 51.8kg, he’s incredibly affectionate.

Royce could live with another dog or small pets, and older teenagers who are used to big dogs.

Richard Moore, centre manager, says: “The big dogs we have here at the centre have a lot of love to give. Unfortunately, they sometimes get overlooked when it comes to finding the perfect home as their size can put off potential adopters.”
