LONG-serving Cllr Douglas Mills has stood down from the Hillingdon Council Cabinet.
Cllr Mills, who was Cabinet Member for Corporate Services, has left the position after 22 years’ service.
He joined the first Cabinet formed in Hillingdon in 2002 as Member for Performance and Regeneration and has held a variety of roles since. He remains a ward councillor for Ruislip Manor.
Cllr Steve Tuckwell, ward councillor for South Ruislip, has joined the Cabinet, with responsibility for the newly-created Planning, Housing and Growth portfolio.
Following this change, the responsibilities of three serving Cabinet members have been rebalanced. These are:
- Cllr Martin Goddard, Finance and Transformation
- Cllr Jonathan Bianco, Deputy Leader and Corporate Services and Property
- Cllr Eddie Lavery, Community and Environment.
The portfolios of Cllr Susan O’Brien, Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Education, and Cllr Jane Palmer, Cabinet Member for Health and Social Care, are unchanged.
The reshuffle takes effect immediately.
