A NEW development of 34 social homes has opened in Hayes.
The site is a mix of one- to three-bedroom properties with shared garden space.
Work on the Hillingdon Council development began in 2022 on a former day care and care home site in Maple Road.
It had been left unused for many years.
Neilcott Construction has built two blocks of 17 homes, named Balsam Court and Silverleaf Court.
They are fitted with solar panels to help reduce energy costs, cycle storage and a central car park with electric vehicle charging points.
Eligible residents have been contacted by the council and will begin to move in soon.
If you are a council tenant or leaseholder, you can register with the borough’s new housing quarterly e-newsletter on www.hillingdon.gov.uk/enews Select ‘Housing News’ as a topic.
