FOUR fire engines and around 25 crew tackled a blaze at a block of flats in Welbeck Avenue, Hayes.
Part of a first-floor two-room flat and a section of the roof of the two-storey building were damaged. There were no reports of any injuries.
Control Officers took five calls, with the first received at 3.10pm. Crews from Hillingdon, Northolt and Ruislip attended.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
