London Utd finished their campaign in Division One of the National League with an 11-11 win loss ration after their first season in the top flight of English Basketball.
London qualified for the quarter final of the play-offs to travel to Teesside Mohawks on the 11th April and finished their season in a closely fought game losing 80-74.
London Utd were not gelling as a team for most of the game and trailed by 15 going into the third quarter. It was Canadian Centre Damian Reid who kept the London team in the game as the tempo was increased, all be it too late as the visitors had their chances to turn the game around but sloppy turn-over's cost them dearly at the wrong times. Steve Vear and Walid Mumuni also excelled.
Teesside showed their experience by holding onto the game winning by 6 points with good leadership from Corey Jackson and EJ Harrison.
That draws a conclusion to the United season as coaches Majewski and Schiller look to strengthen the squad for the next campaign starting in September.
What is encouraging is the fact that the club has decided to expand its junior local presence by starting an under 16 and under 18 team in Hillingdon. For players in the area looking to play National League level please contact Rod Thomas on 07970-483186.
London lined up: Seaman, Reid, Vear, Mumuni, Hockey, Jacobs, Cricelli, Atakus, Smith and Deppisch.
