A SPECIAL performance of Shakespeare's The Tempest will mark the official opening of the open-air theatre at Barra Hall, Hayes, which has been derelict for more than 25 years.
The play is part of the Uxbridge College Arts Festival, which starts on June 16, featuring more than 200 students of all ages from the college.
But the showcase event is on July 3 when Hayes MP John McDonnell opens the restored open air-theatre at Barra Hall.
Drama students from the college will stage Shakespeare's last play, The Tempest, which has been shortened and adapted by the college's head of drama, John-Paul Cherrington.
Tickets are available from Cornelia Reid on 01895 853700.
