London United basketball Club have agreed with Douaye Martyrs school in Hillingdon the use of their basketball court as a training venue for its junior and senior teams.
United's Under 16 and Under 18 teams and EBL Division 1 men's teams have been struggling to find a suitable venue to train and the head of P.E Julie McGrath has been very helpful in allowing our club to use the facilities.
London United will help profile basketball as a key sport in the school and will deliver basketball coaching as after schools clubs for the students of the school.
General Manager Dave Schiller says "Having the junior and senior teams train at the same venue is a big benefit to our Club and the kids as it helps them identify with the senior players. Our club is designed to help them identify with the highest level available and give them a goal to attain. If they can see what the highest level of Basketball is all about, they will aspire to achieve greatness and that's what our ethos is about"
