In an incredible nail biting game London came out victors against Reading for the second time in a week in the EBL division 1 championship.

Having raced to a 14 point lead in the first half they looked every bit the title contenders chasing Sheffield at the top of the league. However Reading had other ideas as they turned up the heat clawing back the half time deficit of 52-38 in the 3rd quarter to take a 2 point lead going into the 4th through Steve Parillions good work around the basket.

In the 4th quarter Reading opened up an 8 point lead and with United's Damian Reid on four fouls, Sebastian Saloman and Pete Deppisch fouled out of the game, things looked grim.

With minutes remaining United fought back through some great work from Steve Vear's penetration and assists to Reid to nail 8 consecutive points however with 30 seconds remaining and 3 points down United looked buried.

Reading had possession and could only find the room to take a long three point shot which was missed leaving United's Steve Vear 12 second to drive up court. He was fouled and was sent to the foul line to shoot for 2 points even though they were 3 down.

He made his first shot leaving United down by 2 points and missed his second on purpose and amazingly Mantia Callender took the rebound and got the put back to tie the game up and with only 4 seconds remaining Reading could not get off a shot.

So the game went to overtime and up stepped Jacek Jagodka for London to nail three consecutive 3 point shots from the corner to seal 110-98 victory for the Londoner's.

Scorers for Utd: Jagodka 18, Callender 17, Reid 15, Deppisch 14, Vear 13, Mumuni 12, Saloman 8, Grabsci 4, Machnyia 2 and Smith 2.
