ELECTRICIANS are among the most reliable tradesmen in Greater London, a recent survey has revealed.
The study, commissioned by the Electrical Contractors' Association (ECA), shows more than a third of Greater London residents regarded the work carried out by electricians as "good".
While over one-in-five described it as "excellent".
This comes as a massive boost for the industry at a time when there are major concerns over cowboy tradesmen.
In 2004 alone, Trading Standards received a staggering 20,282 complaints from home improvement work customers, with an estimated one-in-four of us suffering as a result.
Malcolm Conby, ECA Greater London regional manager, said: "The results of this study show that the electrical industry has well and truly taken this problem by the horns.
"It is testament to the hard work and dedication that contractors across the UK have put into maintaining the highest of standards."
